can we fully defend cyber attacks?

think it's rather tough to achieve a 100% attack proof. don't think any technology in this world can achieve that standard. that's why we deploy so many solutions to counter attacks. but having said that, maybe years later someone or some companies may be able to invent a attack proof system, but r u willing to invest as it cld be very expensive!

i agree with Paul that it is tough to achieve 100%. More importantly the organisation will need to provide more awareness on cyber security and all staff have a part to play to be more cyber resilient.
There are at least 50,000 website defacement in a month and i don think the number will go decrease and it is more of what organisations do after an event of a compromise. They will need to review their internal controls and see what information needs to be secured moving forward.

Yes. I also agree. Think nowadays companies just operate a website using simple process like wordpress, ecommerce plugins. All these have vulnerable.

with so many sophisticated tools, r we really able to defend cyber attacks? i'm not pouring cold water but look at the numbers, what r the possibilities of a 100% attack-proof system?
