I think each have its own challenges. Banking sector need to comply with MAS stringent rulings, very strict SLA I suppose. But I think can learn a lot of experience there. :)

The IT security job prospect in Singapore and globally seems to look more positive in the last decade. All thanks to cyber attacks but that being said, higher expectations are expected to curb and prevent these attacks. I wonder which is better,working as IT Security in banking sector vs govt sector vs MNCs?

start from bottom, learn all the necessary skills first before embarking unto a more challenging environment. need to have skills such as web pen test, vulnerability assessment, know all the tools, do incident management, etc...

Heard that banking sector is quite 'xiong', too many stringent processes to comply. I'm looking out for suitable IT security jobs. anyone here heard of eCop?
