Is my computer being used for DDoS attack?

LOL.. shall we all go back to basics, use pen and paper?

With recent cases of DDoS attack happening in the US and?˜Singapore, i understand that DDoS attack is possible when huge number of devices are being used to target a single system. So how do i even know whether my computer is being used??
