be careful when u engaged vendors to do these security assessments as it's limited by what the tools can picked up, rest is really the skill sets of the security folks. so if u engage someone junior then too bad.

Agreed with Feline on the professionalism. Impt is you need to know what the vendors are telling you. Sad to say, sometimes vendor may gear the recommendations of the results towards what their product can do but then they may not be able or not willing to tell you what their product can't do.
So, if you are going for course, look for those who can do it vendor neutral so you get a more "rounded" perspective.
Btw, I'm not expert lol, just got interest in this area
