Hi! May I know why you are keen in cyber security industry?
It's doable to switch to cybersecurity specialist but require some effort and time. First you need to equip yourself with skills/knowledge and you can upgrade your skills through the various courses available, I think skillsfuture have many courses which you can explore.
The job itself as a specialist is not simple too, u can choose many different tracks like being IT auditor, pen tester and so on.
Since u r into sales, i can recommend that u can join the cybersecurity industry as sales too as they also need people like u!

Thank you so much for your reply.
Cyber security is a field that has a lot of potential in the near future in Singapore. I also had witness the importance of it which lead me to read up a little on it and found some interest in it.
I am defenately looking at sales position in CS for now but, do not know what is recognized in the industry. A diploma? A degree? Or a professional certification wil do?
I was shopping for courses and couldn't find any basic IT course yet, which I believe is critical for me to learn about CS. Any places would you recommend?

Nice to hear u r passionate in joining the cyber security industry! Usually a professional cert will do the trick (E.g. CISA) coupled with 1-2 years of experience but if you are IT trained, should suffice.
Why don;t you try out those short term courses via course providers like COMAT, they have tons of it there and can claim some govt subsidy. Hope it helps.

Mmm.. have you signed up for the diploma yet? i took a look at the link and find it rather a technical course, not sure if u can cope cos u mentioned u have 0 IT work experience.
Have you taken a look at Comat courses yet? maybe u can try them out first, give them a call and i think they will advice u accordingly. Cheers!
