Not necessary. Just do some spring cleaning and update your antivirus definition and do a full scan.

Lot of free cleaning tools out there. example: CCleaner etc.

If still slow, got to check what or processes are running on the back end.

Firstly have u been surfing sites that have malwares? Run antivirus scan regularly.
