hi everyone, contributing my 2 cents of thoughts. interesting conversation and i want to share that yes, Singapore indeed has a shortage of cybersecurity force but after all hacking incidents, govt start to 'warm up' and i can see the pace of collaborations between security companies are gearing up. give them about 3-4 years, we will reach a maturity stage but in between we need to train and groom the next gen folks.

@shaun tan it's good to see our Govt taking a very proactive approach in introducing relevant security courses in all the tertiary schools but some reports that I read, there will still be a shortfall to meet all the cybersecurity demands in the world so

i think it has to come from the people rather, as human pose the greatest threats. solutions is a yes but we also need to educate people especially the management folks. =)

we need more governance and police to keep these hackers at bay!

Yes, there is a huge shortage of skilled cyber security personnels however there are areas which people can consider to go for training and to provide better services to organisations.
